Skin Presets

EXPERIMENTAL

This feature is still experimental. Things may change or break over time. We'll post a notice if any breaking changes happen.

What are Skin Presets?

Skin presets are a way to share your custom skins with other players. Think of them as a "snapshot" of your skin configuration that others can import and use.

When you create a skin preset, it saves:

  • The locations/pathways to your texture files
  • How those textures are arranged to create your skin

This means you don't need to manually recreate everything from scratch when sharing with friends or the community.

How to Share Your Skin

Sharing a skin preset involves two parts:

  1. The preset file (.gsk) - A small file containing the configuration
  2. The texture files - The actual images that make up your skin
important

Both files are required! The preset file only stores references to your textures, not the images themselves. Recipients need both files in the correct locations for the skin to work.

Important Notes

  • Texture files must be in the same relative location as when you created the preset
  • The preset will not work if texture paths are broken
  • Always share the texture files alongside the preset file
